OPK è stata fondata nel 1996 da Xu Chao, un falegname, a Chengdu, nella provincia di Szechuan. Il suo primo sviluppo è stato un sistema di porte scorrevoli sospese fatte a mano, all'epoca il primo in Cina. Nel 2000, OPK ha trasferito la propria sede a Xiaolan Township, nella città di Zhongshan. Da allora, l'azienda opera con il nome di ZHONGSHAN OPK HARDWARE PRODUCT CO., LTD.
